Hand Crafted Indian Playing Cards & BOX

This is a Sawantwadi Moghul pattern painted in Maharashtra, India.   The Mir (King or Queen) is sitting with servant.  The Wazir (Jack), is a horseback rider.  The Box is painted with these royal figures one on each side.  The box can be opened by sliding out a lid, called the tongue.  The tongue has a painted figure on it holding a sword (shamsher).   This is a very special deck.
